15% of the proceed from Shamanic Trails will go back to Bombo (Shaman in Tamang language) Welfare fund. BWF will be utilized to fund various Shamanic rituals that are dying at a very high pace. There are only a handful of first generation Bombos alive. A good number of second generation Bombos are already gone abroad to work as construction workers in order to earn some money. In 2006 one former Bombo died in Malaysia with tuberculosis and returned in a coffin. Still a large number of young people are constantly seeking jobs abroad. Shamanic Trails will make Bombos part of the group and they will be paid well. Moreover, it will provide them with necessary inspiration to keep the traditions alive.

Homestay programs are created in order to provide income opportunities to the family. Guests are accommodated on a family-per person basis and make payments straight to the host family before leaving. They will eat what the family eats and take part in their daily chores like ploughing the field, going to the forest to collect firewood, going to the water-mill to grind grains. Cooking locally brewed wines, learning to weave, or simply hike around the beautiful forests of Langtang National Park and watch the wild animals and birds.

Guests are also most welcome to volunteer in the local primary school. There are plenty of other opportunities such as photography, spend time with Shamans, learn about the medicial herbs, spend time with shepherds in the jungle, etc.
