Every August this amazing pilgrimage festival and gathering of Shamans takes place at the Holy Lake Gosaikunda- situated at 4,600meters, ringed by snow peaks. Local villagers and Shamans literally dance their way along the trail to the lake in this 2-3 day trek, stopping at villages and rest houses on the way. People take a ritual bath in the lake for spiritual cleansing while shamans beat drums, dance and chant. It is a celebration from beginning to finish and certainly a once in a lifetime inspirational experience. A 6 days pilgrimage with Tamang Shamans and local people. Minimum number of people: 1 - 8 persons. When: August Fullmoon every year! Cost: Depends on your group size. Please email us to check price for your group or individual. Includes: Accommodation in guest houses, lunch, dinner, walk with shamans. For a group of 3 or above a 4WD jeep will be included from Kathmandu to Bharkhu.
